A story with blanks is not yet done, maybe never to be done, certainly not worth reading. Read something better! Or write your own! Even better yet... Let your life be the story others write about... Let THEM fill in the blanks.
But they're like shiny puzzles, just begging to be solved! And puzzles are so much fun, right?
I guess the idea is to enjoy the puzzle for what it is, like a koan or paradox, or the stories in Calvino's Invisible Cities.
